Wick Water Reservoirs

USE OF WICK WATER RESERVOIRS

WICK - Use nylon hose, 4-ply acrylic yarn, mason twine or nylon cord. Nylon hose - cut a 1/4" strip acrossleg. Cut loop to make wick.

CONTAINER - Fill container with a water and fertilizer solution according to yourpreference. (Peters - use 1/8 to 1/4 tsp. per gallon of water. Two holes are provided inthe cover, one for the wick and one to fill the container.

Pre-wet wick. Insert wick in hole in the bottom of the pot, approximately 1/2 way in pot -(more or less depending on the type of soil), with a knitting needle or something similar. If soil remains too wet, pull out some of the wick or if too dry, insert further or use two wicks. Occasionally water from the top with plain water to flush out any fertilizer salt buildup. PHYSAN 20 - may be added at the rate of 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. per gallon of wateralong with your fertilizer to prevent algae buildup. Always use the minimum amountneeded to achieve required results.
